Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities or changes in condition
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide basic patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and personal hygiene assistance
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems (e.g., Athenahealth)
- Adhere to medical office standards, policies, and procedures to ensure quality care delivery
- Provide support in various healthcare settings, such as behavioral health, occupational health, primary care, etc.
- Utilize airway management techniques when necessary (e.g., suctioning, oxygen administration)
- Assist in the care of patients in specialized units (e.g., ICU) as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in MA or Compact
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Proficient in administering injections
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
