As part of their expansion, they are seeking a talented Property Accountant to join their team. Position Overview:
As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations related to residential properties. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations for a portfolio of properties.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for multiple residential properties. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for property owners and management. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for properties. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records. Coordinate with property managers to ensure timely collection of rent and resolution of financial discrepancies. Respond to inquiries from property owners, tenants, and vendors regarding financial matters. Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation processes. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2
years of experience in property accounting, preferably in residential real estate. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and property management accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with real estate accounting principles.
