Water's is seeking a qualified candidate who will be part of a small team responsible for the development, implementing design and maintenance of applications and services for the company's website. The global website is robust and complex, with functionality from ecommerce to social communities. This position requires both front end and back end development. You will regularly be working on new areas and should have a software technology background.
With general supervision, will assist in the design, development, implementation and support of the Java-based web E-commerce, Multilanguage website:
Be able to translate visual prototypes into launch-ready code. With graphics and code that adhere to brand identity.
Test and troubleshoot pages on multiple browsers and platforms
Provide documentation as needed for varies stages of the project lifecycle
Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study
Experience with Java, jQuery and JavaScript., HTML, CSS, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Software Debugging, Relational databases and SQL skills
Understanding of web standards and best practices.
Understanding of Software Development Process
Familiarity with current and emerging technologies, such as mobile / responsive design.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Collaborates well, in a team environment.
Should be committed to ongoing education.
Portfolio demonstrating both technical expertise and front end design principles
