The Role
The Solar Marketing Specialist (SMS) will work out of the local Lowes, our partner's home improvement store, and will proactively engage, educate, and excite potential customers about the possibility of going solar, ultimately encouraging them to get an iQuote from Sungevity. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a company experiencing rocket-ship like growth, uncapped earning potential and to join an industry experiencing a tremendous boom!
The SMS role is not for everybody, though - you'll need to be driven, enthusiastic and relentless in your pursuit of furthering the Rooftop Revolution. If you're the right fit, you are a proactive person and ready to bring that to your work, excited about engaging customers and a self-starter always thinking about ways to improve. You are somebody who is familiar with success and thrives on it. You describe yourself as a people person who loves customers - and they love you, too!

Responsibilities
Generate leads via retail sales techniques; engage, qualify and excite the customer
Maintain marketing collateral in displays
Complete accurate, timely and daily recap reports
Consistently meet or exceed quota
Available to work Saturday and Sunday 9-3 every week, Friday Optional
Other Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Chrome or Firefox browser, and iPads
Willing and able to be in a retail environment and stand for extended periods
Positivity, tenacity, and ability to handle rejection
Flexible and adaptable
Reliable access to transportation, as needed, to travel to/from multiple retail locations
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record that meets Sungevity's criteria and a willingness to travel (this position may require traveling to other local sites, rare out-of-town travel may be required for training and conferences)
18 years of age minimum
Multilingual a plus

Compensation and
Benefits:
We offer the BEST compensation package in the industry! Hourly Wage plus aggressive, un-capped commission compensation structure. We also include paid holidays, paid training, and paid time off.
