Respite Counselor
Working as part of a team in this acute care residence, you will provide guidance, education, supervision and direct supports to allow consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community and develop the skills necessary to return to independent living.
Interactions between staff and consumers will be guided by an appreciation for those being served as unique individuals and adults, with the expectation and goal of crisis or situational stabilization.
Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday 12 a.m.- 8 a.m.
Required Skills
Ability to communicate in and comprehend the English language, including clearly documenting consumer progress and activities in program records, required.
Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required.
Valid driver's license, safe driving record and regular access to a reliable vehicle required.
Required Experience
Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree with one years experience
Or High School Diploma and three years related experience required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
